Approaches to Policymakers
Engineers Ireland is working with the Construction Industry Council (CIC) which has produced a report for government highlighting methods of re-igniting the construction sector, preserving employment and preparing for opportunities that will arise. Extensive lobbying is already underway on these matters.
Engineers Ireland is also working with the CIC on matters relating to the 8% fee levy imposed on professional fees for services within the public sector.
We are also speaking with a number of Government agencies about initiatives to help our unemployed members with their career development.
