Senior Civil Estimator with major project experience immediately needed for national civil contractor. Challenging projects and a great team environment.
As part of a larger Group this infrastructure company has been established in its field throughout the North Island. The company has built its reputation through the successful completion of major infrastructure works in some of the most challenging regions of New Zealand. They have always looked for the best people and as such they have staff from all over the world. Due to the incumbent moving overseas they are now looking for a replacement Senior Civil Estimator with the experience and professionalism to take the company even further.
As a Senior Civil Estimator you will already have established yourself in your sector over the past 15 years. You may already be at the senior level and looking for new challenges or you may see this role as a step up in your career. This role particularly caters to someone with a strong experience in heavy civil projects from a variety of disciplines including bridges, highways, pipelines, water & waste water, piling and concrete works.
As a crucial part of the estimating team you will be involved in projects throughout the Waikato, preparing cost estimates, working with the tender team, and dealing with subcontractor negotiations as well as closing the file on completion of the project. Based in the New Zealand Head Office in Hamilton you will be working on projects ranging in value from $500k - $20M. At times your expertise will be used by the larger group on national projects as part of a joint venture.
You will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent) and be proficient with the use of MS Project or Primavera as well as other estimating packages. On a day to day basis you will retain autonomy over your work and be encouraged to show your true potential and professionalism whilst at the same time assisting more junior members of the team.
